IL Cortile has been family owned and run since 1975. A neighborhood staple in the heart of Little Italy, NYC for over 40 years the Esposito family continues the tradition of sparing nothing to provide only the highest quality ingredients in all Cortile dishes.
We are a full Service Restaurant Establishment offering both A-La-Carte dining and a wide variety of pre-fix menus for group gatherings as well as off premise catering. We can accommodate gluten free and vegan diets. Everything is made to order.

    Food was great, wine was great, the waiters were very attentive, a variety of breads and breadsticks in the bread basket was nice. I was fortunate that they still had Ragu sauce (Sunday sauce, it said on the menu they tend to run out on weekends) and it was fantastic Place was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. Overall five stars.

    Great food, as always. But service was not as good as other times. Our main server never told us about specials - we heard them from another table, AFTER we had finished eating; he also never took drink orders for the kids. We had to ask another server. The second server (Deepu) was fantastic. Unusual blip in an otherwise solid experience.

    Perfect night with delicious food that was priced just right! Waiter was very attentive with support staff filling water, delivering bread, cleaning table etc.

    The atmosphere was beautiful, service was great. The food was good could have been excellent if it was homemade. Very disappointed because it was not homemade when the other restaurant around have homemade!

    Beautiful place and the food is honestly fabulous. It was a bit cold in the bit we sat at. Other than that the atmosphere and food really makes the this a great place to eat.
