   I asked the hostess for a sunset view table, and she accommodated us. Our waiter Mark was great. We heard a lot about their breakfasts from locals, and we will come and give it a try. We weren't starving so we ordered a pizza... it was yummy. We will come back!

   My friend and I enjoyed a lovely weekday lunch sitting at a lanai table downstairs by the front rail, with a perfect ocean view. Service was professional, friendly and prompt, and the food was delicious. The generous Salad Nicoise is a favorite of mine, with seared rare Ahi. It’s served Mediterranean style, over greens with black olives, hard-boiled eggs, tomato, and anchovy. Always a winner!

   The food was delicious, as always. The waitress was helpful and we enjoyed my husband's birthday dinner. Always enjoy this restaurant when we are on the Big Island.

   Service was great, the server cheerful and helpful. They work hard. Food was slow getting to us though. We waited over an hour. Meals were all delicious. We enjoyed our last night out in Hawaii at this festive place celebrating a birthday and listening to the surf crash into the rocks across the road. A delightful meal.

   We went for Happy Hour and dinner. We had been for Breakfast, also. Breakfast was very good, as well!

   We love Lava Java and go there every time we are on the island. The food is great, not overly priced, and the service is wonderful. I would highly recommend!

   Great place to have breakfast!  I had the shrimp Benedict and it was wonderful. The food was hot and cooked exactly how I requested. I really appreciate the fact that the food was hot and not lukewarm. I also had a mocha latte that  hit the spot!  It’s right across from the water and the view was beautiful. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy the Hawaiian spirit and beauty!
