   We reserved a table outside yet when we arrived we were told that due to staffing issues the outside tables were not available. Had we known, we would not have come.

   This is a lovely restaurant & the food is excellent. The staff could use some training. They were pleasant, but we had to ask to get more water, one person’s plate was cleared while the other was still eating, the bills showed up before one of us was finished eating (!), we were never asked whether we wanted separate checks, but we were chastised when we did ask for them (yes, we asked late, but since we were still eating, we thought we still had time before the check was printed), etc. The staff didn’t ruin the experience, but they made it certain that we won’t be back.

   Mari was our server and she made excellent suggestions for food and sake. All the wait staff were great and helped make it a lovely evening.

   We had a truly great experience. My partner and I decided to continue the relaxing vibe from the Ten Thousand Waves Spa and stay for lunch. This was a great decision. The restaurant is beautiful and the reception was inviting. The service was attentive, just like the spa. The cocktails were amazing, and the food was spectacular. We shared 5 different dishes, tapas style, each one was a winner.

   After a relaxing soak at 10kwaves we treated ourselves to a great Sake tasting paired with exquisite selections from their extensive menu. We are making this experience a part of our schedule every visit.

   We loved the ambience of the dining room and our booth was roomy and comfortable. Our server explained the various menu options and how much food we should order so as not to have too much or too little. Service was quick and we had time to eat each course before the next one arrived.

    We had a great time for our first time at Izanami. We had a trainee server named Aiverson and he was very professional and answered all our questions. We will definitely be going back soon!
