   As always J.Gilberts didn’t disappoint our expectations! Great food and drinks, Amanda our server was Excellent! That’s why we’re repeat customers here in Glastonbury!    Reliably a great experience, from food to drinks. Had the filet, salad and carrot cake. Taste was wonderful and the steak was cooked to perfection.

   Bourbon salmon is fantastic ! Mashed potatoes and green beans made a perfect meal. Quiet and romantic atmosphere. Polite and attentive waitress. Go there and be spoiled.

   We went on New Year’s Eve, and one should always expect it to be busy, but this restaurant runs like a well oiled machine! From the young ladies who greeted us, even with an entrance filled with people, to our server who never made you feel that she was flustered because it was crazy busy. The food was incredible! We enjoyed surf and turf and our friends had Prime Rib (special for NYE). From start to finish, the experience was exceptional!

    The menu has changed a bit but what we noticed now after 20 years of consistent wonderful steak and seafood is some levels of inconsistency in the rib eye and the scallops, which in years past would be “10” and now we’ve seen some level of decline…still a solid steak with flavor but after visiting some of the better steak houses in NY with rib eye at similar prices I see a difference. We’re still going to dine here it’s a favorite for many years.
