    Ok dinner tonight. But the steaks were just ok, first time we had a Filet that was tough. Service from Joey was excellent!

    It was new years and we expected it to be busy but the waitress took way longer than expected to get everything out in a timely manner. The food and experience was top notch but we had another appointment 3 hours after dinner and almost missed it.

    Sitting 2 people in a booth that fits 6 people makes it hard to hear the one another when trying to sit across from eachother. I’d recommend requesting a small booth or a table if you are going on a date. The only way we were able to hear eachother, was if we sat next to eachother deep in the booth. The steak was great but the scallops seemed a bit undercooked for our liking. Service was amazing and Cierra was awesome! Great experience overall.

    I got the filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The filet was good. Not the best I’ve had but definitely tasty and I’d get it again. I added the blue cheese butter and that was worth it. The mashed potatoes were good. I wasn’t expecting to like them as much. They were very creamy. The asparagus was not my favorite. It had a very smoky flavor that I didn’t like. I wish I subbed that for the wedge salad like my husband did for an additional cost. My husband got the Kansas City Strip and he said it was his favorite steak he has had in a long time. He also enjoyed the smoked old fashioned. I enjoyed the velvet chocolate cake. I think it should be called chocolate mousse because it did not taste like cake but I liked that and the server let us know. I like the raspberry ice cream paired with it. We will definitely be coming back. The service was great too. It was NYE and we did not feel rushed to leave and enjoyed every part of our experience!

    We have been to J Gilberts for New Year's Eve for the past 6 years. We always had a great experience in the past. This year was anything but. My prime rib was tough and my wife's filet was way over cooked and Dry. The sides we had always enjoyed were also not the quality they had been. Looks like we will be looking for a different New years Eve spot.

    J. Gilberts was delightful. Though very busy, the service by Chase was great -- attentive but not intrusive. The food was prepared as requested and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!
