   An "old reliable" that never fails. On December 30, for the first time in ages I had the sweet breads appetizer and the main course crab cakes. Outstanding! And the plumbing tart is back !

   This is my second favorite restaurant in the Washington D.C. area. The first being L’Auberge Chez Francois. The food is wonderful and the service is excellent here. It’s a true gem.

   This has been my special occasion/destination restaurant for 40 years. This time, I was dining solo, but I felt welcome and totally comfortable. I ordered one of the evening's specials, rockfish with chanterelles and seasonal vegetables. The fish was cooked perfectly. I indulged in the special dessert, Buche de Noel.

   Awesome holiday lunch at L'Auberge. Excellent champagne and wine list. Outstanding line-up on wines by the half bottle. Really enjoyed the beverages, food and service.

   Fantastic late lunch in the brasserie, which was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Practically had the place to ourselves. Delightful and cozy!
