   Is our 5 o'clock reservation we had a front window with an ocean view!  Our waiter was friendly and timely making sure we had everything we needed throughout the two hours we were there. Food was outstanding and D cake birthday surprise was very welcomed by our birthday girl! It was a very pleasant experience.

   This was our first visit to Jake’s, and we were so impressed with everything! The food was so delicious, best calamari we’ve had in our lives. The ceviche was so fresh and yummy. My scallops actually melted in my mouth! Oh, and I had Duke’s Mai Tai…best cocktail I’ve had in years! Dennis was so attentive to our every need, even offering to take a pic of us with the beautiful sunset behind us. We absolutely loved watching the sunset while we enjoyed our dinner! Topping off our dinner with the Hula Pie was “icing on the cake”! It was so light, fluffy and just the right amount of chocolate. Overall, we had an amazing experience! I will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Thank you for a lovely evening!

   We had a reservation at 800pm after sunset. We were not able to get a sunset reservation just hard to get. Don't worry they have lights shining into the ocean so you see the waves coming in even after dark. The service was great and just a nice place. Food was good not great but good. This is a great spot for a date or couples to enjoy the drive from San Diego to a nice place to enjoy the company.

   Very enjoyable dinner and overall dining experience for my mom’s birthday! The staff had great attention to detail and the food was delicious. It started to get louder just after sunset but not too bad. Will go back for another special occasion!

   The ceviches was fresh and had nice flavors. Portions were smaller than I anticipated. The view was beautiful.

   We have been coming to Jake's since 2010 and was a reservation that was a must when coming to Del Mar. Our meal was terrible last night and not what one expects when coming to Jake's. One of our family members has been getting the Beachside Vegan for years, and this was nothing like it used to be. Please bring back the original. The one on the menu right now should not even be listed as a meal. It was basically a plate of garnish and hard vegetables. Not the bowl of steamed rice ,yummy curry and roasted vegetables like usual. We also ordered the Mahi and it was tough and terrible. Our server was amazing and the calamari was still tops---so maybe we just come back for appetizers for lunch--but not anytime soon.
