Food and service, solid as always. Hostesses need to take a class in hospitality and learn to be friendlier, smile and treat customers with a little more respect.

The check in girls are more concerned with looking pretty and gossiping with each other than try to help you. The guy who takes you to your table is rude. Told me “it’s simple. You do what I tell you to do or cancel”. The manager is no help as well. Rudeness is pervasive in their staff. The guy basically called me a liar. Thank goodness the server was a big improvement. Ate here multiple times before but food is not good enough to endure such horrendous service and treatment. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Such a waste of a perfectly good space in a great hotel.

Tried to seat us at end table adjacent to busy walkway; even though there were plenty of booths open and the reservation was made weeks ago . Had to insist on a booth which the hostess finally provided with some attitude. Waiter forgot our order. Two tables seated after us received their food before us.

The food was simply far too salty. That’s my only complaint. I would have given perfect 5 stars all around otherwise. But the salt levels detracted from the experience so hard. I mean they need probably 50-70% less salt. The salsa at the start was so perfect. I could taste the flame and aromas. The ingredients were such high quality. But the salt level was like a salt slurry. I understand the flavors want to be enhanced but it was simply way way way too far. Every single dish from then on was just over salted. When the aguachile came out they provided a saucer of salt if we want more. I tasted it and yet again it was a salt and acid nuke on the tongue. How could anyone possibly need MORE salt. It was I’m just way too much. Again. Fully detracting from the meal. I’d give everything from ingredients and ripeness and cook job a 10/10 but the salt level was a 1.5. Yes it enhanced some flavors but it felt like I was getting a chemical burn on my tongue. Aside from that, I did bring my own bottle of wine in with a corkage fee applying, but it was a little disappointing when my server broke the cork, and was pouring glasses a little too high to the point the wine would warm up significantly and it would impact the balance of the glass. It’s clear the server is a host and not a somm as they don’t seem to handle wine too often. The decor was very well thought out. The music playlist was a banger. The host was kind, even forgiving the wine issues, I just can’t get over the salt levels.

This is high end Mexican food where the portions are appropriate and not gigantic like some places. The quality is top notch. The ambiance is festive and classy. The drinks were delicious. This isn't a typical Mexican restaurant ... don't expect rice and beans to come with every dish. They come with some but not all. And it isn't always Mexican Rice. My shrimp tacos came with a delightfully delicious buttery fluffy rice and black beans. My husbands Trio (one shrimp, one crab, one lobster) Seafood Enchiladas didn't come with either. It isn't noted on the menu which meals come with accompaniments but the server can let you know. This was probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to but I'm not a connoisseur of Mexican food. I do know what tastes good and fresh and this was it.
