   The sommelier needs some lessons. She opened our wine and then took it away and poured it out without us seeing it. Then she took away the carafe when it still had wine in it and then added a new bottle again not in front of us. Such bad training. Very disappointing.

   I apologize if there was some confusion or our standard decanting process was not properly explained to you Ella is an exceptionally knowledgeable and very well-trained sommelier who correctly decanted the bottles away from the table in the servers' pantry where there was adequate light to monitor the sediment.    Authentic restaurant that is beautifully decorated and also very inviting and comfortable. Every staff person was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. The menu has many delicious choices. The Sunday supper was perfect in presentations for all 3 courses. The nicely trimmed pork chop was slightly overdone but the sauce and accompaniments helped to overcome that. We had a delightful time and will highly recommend and return.

   I have eaten at Swift House many times and the food is always good, but last night's meal was superb! My strip steak was perfectly charred, tender, with an excellent sauce. The service too was particularly warm and inviting. P.S. I find the credit card requirement for reservations (particularly the stiff amounts) off-putting, though I always call to cancel when necessary

   Jim - Thank you for your positive comments about the food and the service. The credit card no show policy is sadly a fact of life for small restaurants like ours. No call/no shows were costing us thousand of dollars. While the price may seem steep, it tends to focus people's attention and remind guests to cancel if necessary. Not everyone is as conscientious as you. I will note that I can count on the fingers of one hand the number times we have had to charge guests in the past year. We understand that things happen - often at the last minute - and almost always won't charge so long as we receive a call before the reservation time. Thank you again for your kind words and come back and see us again soon.

   Lovely dinner with knowledgeable and great service. Sommelier was accessible and great at advice. Highly recommend.

   Great, service great food, and a lovely atmosphere. The experience was very welcoming and appropriate for the special occasion we were celebrating. The waiter was attentive, and helpful with menu choices. He provide a light atmosphere of humor.

   Very upscale. The best restaurant in the area. Creative menu and extensive wine list. The owner and sommelier are friendly and very engaging. The atmosphere is warm and cozy.

   Everything was outstanding from the bread, both of our small plates & large plates to the dessert. I'm not sure I've ever had a restaurant experience where every single dish was as delicious.

    Another delicious dinner at Jessica‘s! The tuna was perfectly prepared, the beet salad I could eat three times a day (and who says that about beets?), and the sticky toffee with salted caramel and candied ginger…. Well there went my New Years Resolution. In addition, the staff are so kind and thoughtful, the environ so cozy. I‘ll be back again when I return to the area.
