I had reservations here for several weeks out, and nobody thought to let us know that the restaurant was closed, I guess because of the renovations?it wasn’t really made clear until I literally walked up and found out the restaurant was not doing brunch. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed

The hostess was extremely rude also claimed to be the manager when we requested to speak with the manager. The hostess was not apart of the management team.

Upon making the reservation, there was not notification that at 11am breakfast would be the only option. Thanks to one of the managers who made the decision to change over from breakfast to lunch was greatly appreciated. The waitress informed us that she had another large party reservation that would be arriving soon basically insinuating that she would not be able to assist us once they arrived. Although we were able to get lunch, the grits in the shrimp & grits were cold; assuming they were left over from the breakfast bar. Besides the manager being gracious and allowing our party to order lunch thirty minutes sooner than usual, the food and service were just okay.

The food and service was outstanding. The steak and fish was amazing and the mixed cocktails mainly the various spins on old fashions. A plus.

We made our reservation due to convenience and limited time before meetings. Also, the website had represented ordering off a menu would be an option versus a buffet. For personal reasons, we could not eat from a buffet. Unfortunately, due to full hotel occupancy from the NCAA Tournament, the policy required buffet only service which was not outlined on the website. After being seated, we were informed of the policy and therefore were forced to leave and try to find a place we could eat on short notice when we only had an hour. As we left, apparently the hostess notified the manager who tracked me to the front doors of the hotel as my wife, daughter, and friend gotten to the street. The manager, William, asked us to return and allow them to work something out. They allowed us to get a meal we could enjoy while honoring the policies of the hotel. They treated us fairly on cost and we had a wonderful breakfast in the time we had available. You can be sure we showed our appreciation in the gratuity we provided. I have found it more difficult today to find staff willing to go the extra mile in support of a customer. This is not the case with William and the whole team at JP Charlette. They represented the Charlette Weston Hotel at a top level.

We had a bad experience with the service.. our waitress was extremely rude the whole time and it got worse when we asked for the dessert menu! They included 18% of gratuity and she kept rolling her eyes every time we had a question. We are definitely not coming back
