   The place was spectabular and worth any trip. Food was OK and service was fine. Parking was a problem till we figured it out. All in all the place was an experience not to be missed

   We had a phenomenal meal at Kanu. We love coming here especially at Christmas time. If I could give ambiance 10 stars I would. Between the two giant fireplaces and the most incredible Christmas tree, the vibes are EVERYTHING. The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Our meal was exceptional - my husband darn near licked his plate clean, and I took a box home to savor for a second time. Everytime we come here we feel like we are in a Hallmark movie. Despite the high ceilings and wood atmosphere, it is very easy to carry on a conversation - normally those types of acoustics make it tough to chat, but it felt perfectly buzzy for a holiday meal, while easy to carry on a conversation together. It was an exceptional meal and we cant wait to come back again!

   We were the first seating for the Thanksgiving buffet and found everything even better than expected; service, food, and atmosphere.

   Our waitress Jess went absolutely above and beyond for us. She was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful and hospitable. The ambiance was homey and romantic and the food was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful honeymoon dinner!

   Totally overpriced and the food wasn't that great at all. $30 for a hamburger and fries so salty you can melt snow. Food definately lacked presentation as well. Ambiance was definately nice and the complimentart breakfast was good but I wont come back again for dinner. Drive 5 minutes into town for better food at a cheaper price.

   This was our second experience at Kanu. The food is very good, but pricey. The ambiance in Whiteface Lodge is spectacular. We sat in front of the roaring fire. Service was prompt and attentive. We both had the trout which was a nice change from the standard Chilean Sea Bass of most restaurants. An excellent dinner.

   We both had wonderful dinners. My wife really enjoyed the shrimp pot pie and I loved the trout. Excellent food and excellent service!

   The service was slow! Fireplaces were off even though it was cold. The squash apple bisque was bland, the venison beef albondigas were tasty but overdone. The wedge salad was really good. We got the wrong vintage of the wine we ordered but it was a fabulous Zinfandel regardless.

    The server was lovely but forgot our serving/eating utensils during multiple courses. The food was underwhelming with the exception of the bison burger which was quite good and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was interesting, likely lovely when the restaurant is full but on the slow Sunday evening on which we went it felt half closed.
