   The hosts at the front of the house were very attentive and friendly. The service from our waiter was, however, very slow and he forgot a number of ordered items throughout the night, only bringing them to us after we reminded him that we had ordered them. Some ordered items arrived very late and others not at all. The atmosphere was pleasant but the background music was “techno” music, which seemed like a strange choice for a fine dining establishment like Kincaid’s. The food, however, was excellent. That said, I would not return based on the poor service we experienced.

   We visited before heading to the opera & wanted something on the lighter side so we wouldn’t get sleepy at the show. Soups, salads, oysters, & crème brûlée fit the bill perfectly. The dragon fruit fizz n/a cocktail was delicious and tart. Many beer selections on the menu were unavailable. The service was good, the server was mindful that our food was timed perfectly to give us time to walk to the venue. The location is perfect for visiting the Ordway & many other attractions. We will return.

   I was sad to learn the delicious pea salad is no longer on the menu. It is why we chose Kincaid's for our downtown St. Paul evening. It is a wonderful salad! However, the walleye and the creme brulee was fabulous.

   Nice restaurant but food was average. The calamari was very small piece’s and chewy. Although the artichoke hearts were a nice twist. The vegetable mix was of an inconsistent texture so one bit was soft the next was crunchy. The fish was over done.

    Four of us dine here regularly but tonight the food delivery was really off. Saw a server walking around for some time with a soup and salad for our table. Finally brought it to us but the soup wasn't hot by then. One person never got her dinner until the rest of us were almost finished and her salmon wasn't cooked as requested. My meal was luke warm. Very unlike Kincaid's.
