La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

    Our dinner at La Masseria is always wonderful! We had our favorite table upstairs which has wonderful ambiance. All of our drinks, appetizers and dinners were delicious. One of our favorite restaurants to spend Christmas Eve!

    Unfortunately our experience on Christmas Eve was not good. This is a restaurant that for 10 years + I frequented for business meetings / entertainment weekly and also personally. La Masseria was typically the go to place. Historically outstanding in food and hospitality professional wait staff and always excellent food. Something has changed and needs to be addressed. A focus on customer satisfaction, cleanliness and hospitality needs attention to bring the dining experience back to expectations.

    We are never disappointed. The food is always cooked to perfection. The service and attention by the bartenders and service staff is top notch. In my view, the best Italian restaurant in Rhode Island.

    The food was delicious and the portions were perfect so as you didn’t feel stuffed when you finished. Our bus person and waiter were Seth and Hector , both exceptional at their profession. They didn’t “visit” to often but were there at the appropriate times.

    Every bite of our meals was terrific from the house made mozzarella with mortadella to the beef carpaccio apps, to the main courses of the swordfish special, salmon and grilled octopus! Tim was an attentive, efficient and friendly server. I was a little skeptical about the table we were offered which was up front near the bar, but the maiter‘d assured me it would be comfortable and he was right! Just an all round great experience!

    I was sadly disappointed in the service and food this time around. We ordered calamari and it never came. It took a long time to receive our main course and it was just OK, not what we expected from such an expensive restaurant

    We love dining at Masseria whether it’s drinks and an appetizer at the bar or sitting down for a nice dinner. Staff is always friendly, service is great and the food is exceptional. Thank you
