   I recently dined at La Ronde and had a mixed experience. I ordered the New York steak, and while I enjoy salty food, I found it to be very salty—almost overpoweringly so. Maybe that’s just how a New York steak is meant to be, but it was noticeably saltier than I expected. That said, the sides—both the mashed potatoes and vegetables—were excellent and well-prepared. Other members of my table ordered different dishes, and their experiences weren’t as positive. The lobster ravioli was a disappointment; they said it didn’t taste much like lobster at all. Another person ordered the "catch of the day," which was poached fish. They described it as slimy and vinegary, and at first, I thought they were exaggerating—until I tried a bite myself. I have to agree 100%. I’m not sure if that’s just how poached fish is supposed to be, but the texture and flavor were very off-putting. Overall, while my sides were great and I managed to eat my steak despite the saltiness, the inconsistencies in the other dishes left me hesitant to return. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, I expected more balance in flavor and preparation. Would I go back? Maybe for the view, but I’d be cautious about what I order next time.

   So the atmosphere was top notch, our food was excellent, my grilled ribeye was amazing, my partner’s gnocchi were super delicious, and our waiter Jason was excellent! And we experienced a bonus event, one couple beside us got engaged.

   Our server Dean was fabulous!! My husband and I have been before but it had been many years and we will definitely be back. Food was 10/10 over all experience was great!!

   We’ve been to LaRonde many times through the years. The allure of the spinning restaurant is always nice. However, the food was not that good. The strip steak was tough and slathered in a too-sweet peppercorn sauce and the seafood cioppino was just average with a sauce that was also not so good. For the price I just wouldn’t consider this fine dining.

   Our waiter, Colin was absolutely fantastic! We also enjoyed when the Chef came to our table to prepare one of our dishes right in front of us. Our 4 course meal was absolutely delicious! We will definitely come back for more celebrations.
