We were warmly welcomed and the food was both varied and legitimately french something so rare in Boston. Especially recommend the mussels and the mushrooms soup. Also a good wine by the glass selection. We keep coming back. There is a reason this place has been a staple of the Backbay scene forever.

Beautifully prepared classic french food. Very nice staff. Obviously quiet at a midweek lunch - perfect for a special occasion lunch.

It was just ok, not the French dining experience we hoped for. Michelle was very attentive & informative but that was not enough to overcome other issues. We were seated next to a door to a cooler/vault area that staff had to access for various reasons. It as cold each time the door was opened & actually we don’t know what was behind the door. Our server seemed to lack dining expertise, maybe she was new & just needs more training & experience. Our meal was not well paced & she did not check back with us enough. We had made reservations well in advance & just hoped for a better adventure.
