Our $89 prix fixe tea service is offered Tuesday through Sunday.

Lady Mendl's is an unconventionally chic tea salon housed within a Georgian brownstone in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan. An opulent five-course tea is served in an eclectic and whimsical parlor by a doting staff. Patrons sip tea from hand culled vintage Wedgwood teacups as they nibble dainty finger sandwiches and house baked scones.

Please note that our entrance is only accessible via a staircase of 10 steps. We do not have an elevator.

Everything was exquisite from the time you walk in until the time you leave. Our server was on point. The space itself was fun, vibrant, and the food was delicious.

Had a lovely time here. Place was interesting with Christmas decor. Service was impeccable and attentive. Entrance was inconspicuous and looked like a normal townhouse if you weren’t particularly looking for the place. Recently learned it’s attached to The Inn at Irving Place with rooms on the second floor. They have a coat check. Seating is a bit tight but comfy if you are seated at the two-seater small sofa instead of the other tables (more for groups from what I’ve seen). Had the afternoon tea service and chose the tea pairings (each paired with each course). I would recommend if you want to try other tea flavors you’re not sure about or not tried. Was never a fan of Earl Grey but this place changed my mind, enough so that I ended up purchasing a canister of it for my personal use. Might return again one day.

from the moment you step into this Victorian charmer, you will be amazed that it is still can exist in New York City. The Christmas decor is spectacular and everyone from the hostess to the serving staff is absolutely lovely. It is a phenomenal place to have a special event like a small birthday party. Was surprised you could not open presents at the table, but I guess they don't want all that wrapping everywhere because it is like being wrapped in velvet anyway. The tea is very fulsome and we all left with plenty to eat, which is not always the case. best scones I've ever had!! four different kinds of teas and all in all a really beautiful day.

Fantastic tea. Michelle was our waitress and took great care of us. Generous amount of food- come hungry and you will leave full. The tea itself was very tasty. We did the tea pairing with the courses and I would definitely recommend this. Nothing negative to say. Would highly recommend.

I've been to Lady Mendl's many times over the years (pre-Covid). I've always enjoyed it. Today seemed noisier than in the past. Is it more crowded? While I liked most sandwiches, I found the avo-hummus and the pumpernickel/cream cheese less interesting. I didn't sample all the teas; I enjoyed the English Breakfast and Earl Grey, less so the coconut. The crepe dessert was delicious!
