Check out the little gems we've come across—diverse wines from across the globe, authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, coffee and fabulous desserts—all in a casual atmosphere and with reasonable prices. In our world, authenticity is big. Our pizzaiolo use ingredients and procedures regulated by the Italian governing association (VPN)—so you experience a "true" pizza like you would find in the energetic pizzerias in Naples, Italy (but without the airfare). We are happy to now be taking a limited amount of reservations online as well as always keeping a portion of the restaurant open for walk-ins. For larger tables or reserving our private room please contact us and we will be happy to work with you to create the perfect event!

We’re a small and energetic restaurant on the corner of Adelaide and Water St. in the heart of downtown St. John’s. We carry a wide selection of East Coast Oysters and our menu focuses on seafood + fun, vibrant small plates. We have a rotating selection of local craft beer and wines and an ever evolving cocktail list. Some call us loud, but we prefer lively! TripAdvisor's 'Certificate of Excellence', "Where to Eat in Canada" x 4, and voted St. John's Top Seafood restaurant!Our reservation policy has changed in order to support the best possible customer experience. We take 5pm reservations for seating's of 2-4 people, and two larger groups of 5+ Sunday through Saturday.     We had a fantastic supper at the Keg in St. John’s today! Food was amazing. We are here visiting my dad and my dad wanted to have a steak. He lives in a personal care home and doesn’t get out much. He really enjoyed his meal. The service was excellent too! David C was our server and he was outstanding. He was so nice to us and especially to my dad. He went above and beyond to make sure my Dad was comfortable and was very friendly. David C really made our night enjoyable! You are very lucky to have him as an employee! We will for sure be back!

    Our server was a sweet angel and the chef/ kitchen came out to greet us. Very nice touch. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch my servers name but she was a blonde lady with an English accent. She was great and was very polite, warm and attentive. Thank you so much for a wonderful night ♥️

    Loose tie has never failed us once! We’ve been to the restaurant multiple times over the years, and not once have we had a bad cocktail, bad food or bad service. Whenever we have visitors in town, we know that Loose Tie won’t disappoint! Highly recommend it!
