- JJoelSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoI had a great time at Fiume near the London Battersea power station. My only complaint about Fiume was that after I ordered dishes that were specifically listed as vegan, the waiter was very wishy-washy about it. Not only did he first say that those were only vegetarian, only to find that they were vegan (or could be made vegan?) after checking with the kitchen staff. But also, after taking my order, he came back to ask me if my order for vegan food was about personal preference, or if it was about an allergy. As someone who feels strongly about my personal eating habits, I don't see how that should matter. Either a dish is vegan, or it's not. If they need to hear I'm allergic to something in order to make it really vegan, then maybe what's advertised on the menu isn't entirely vegan in the first place. That aside, the food was great, from the vegan marinara pinsa, to the chocolate tart dessert.More infoFiumePrice: Expensive• Italian• Battersea•3.8
- NNigelLondon •8 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Oct 2024Had the set menu which was good value and had a reasonable amount of choice. The food was hot, well cooked and tasty. The pudding (apple crumble and ice cream) was a real highlight. We were served by Guilia and she was absolutely brilliant. Really engaging and nothing was too much trouble. She was one of the best things about the whole experience. Would definitely recommend a visit. Booking is advised.More infoBread Street Kitchen – BatterseaPrice: Moderate• undefined• Battersea•4
- SBSimonBvipOxford/Oxfordshire •52 reviews4.0Dined on 24 Feb 2024Very busy restaurant. It was packed. Glad we booked. A few walk ins that were accommodated. We had Prosecco to drink, wild boar cannelloni, salmon, rocket salad and broccoli. To finish tiramisu. Service was good, although you could see the staff were rushed. Salmon was fishy but ok. Came with rocket and a lemon wedge. No sure what Mediterranean meant? Wild boar cannelloni was tasty. Good strong tomato sauce. Salad was good. Broccoli hot and crisp. Salmon came about 10 mins later than the rest. Tiramisu was without alcohol (due to children) but we were served a shot of amaretto each! Prices reasonable although £10.90 for a small portion of tiramisu without alcohol is a bit stingy. The price on the bill for the cannelloni was more than the price on the board. Genuine mistake. Food was good. Worth a visit. Noisy though due to the amount of people speaking loudly in a confined space.More infoAngolettoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Battersea•4.3
