At its core, the concept behind Italian cooking stems from necessity and gratitude for regionally available ingredients. This naturally sustainable approach allows for innovative, yet familiar dishes that highlight the seasonal availability of what’s grown and raised in Texas. Ambiance is really nice. Simple wood furniture with nice lighting. We sat at the sushi counter and had an amazing time. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, two king salmon nigiri, a salmon hand roll, a yellowtail roll, and edamame. Cocktails are amazing. We ordered the red dragon and a birds of paradise. The birds of paradise was AMAZING. Our server was great as well. Overall a really nice experience.

Perla’s food and service are always wonderful. Today’s server, Kristen, upped the bar. She was fantastic. It was a gorgeous day, so the deck was packed but we had a relaxed, easier to talk and to “take our time” lunch with an old friend in from out-of-town inside. Insanely yummy oyster po’boy. Love you Perla’s.

Wow…the food was outstanding. It arrived kind of cold, though the place was packed so I assume the wait staff was slammed. It is a very loud restaurant so if you’re going for an intimate or romantic meal, this would not be the place.
