Best experience. Food was excellent and the waitress was very professional.

The new table arrangement in the dining room is more comfortable—Thank You! The Swetha Weathah cocktail is a delicious dessert-first cocktail of spiced rum served frothy and light; The clam chowder is easily a satisfying meal, so creamy and flavorful.

Everything about our experience was terrific. The food was outstanding — portioned well, vibrant flavors, and clearly meticulous planning. Presentation is the best in Bangor, and on par with the best in the state. Our server was kind and delightful, and the ambience was terrific (music playlist was spot on). If you like whiskey, the whiskey list is deep and nuanced.

The food and service were impeccable! We will certainly be back soon.

The Reading Room is classic white linen high class dining at its best!! Menu, food, service & ambience all first rate! Our server was very professional (can’t recall her name) & very menu knowledgeable - only issue was that the noise level made it difficult to have a good conversation! We’ve been there many times over the years & it is always the highlight of our visits to Bar Harbor!!
