- LLizVIPNew York City •17 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAbsolutely LOVED my first NY Gjelina experience. I was so sad when they had to shut down right after opening as their Venice, CA location is the best. Finally made to NYC now that they are back and open and loved it. The ambiance, the space, the food, everything was on point. Can't wait to go back!More infoGjelina - New YorkPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• East Village•4.5

Highly recommend the fire roasted eggplant with a piece of the amazing garlic bread on the side to pile the eggplant on. The gorgonzola on the pear and gorgonzola salad was one of the best cheeses I've ever eaten. Had the classic Spaghetti Limone and the Pappardelle with Lamb Ragu from the specials- both pastas phenomenal. Tables are squeezed in tight and there are no coat hooks but other than that - no complaints!More infoLil' Frankie'sPrice: Moderate• Italian• East Village•4.6

Don't be put off by the quirky entrance via a "pawn shop" - walk in and you are guided into a cool bar and a large dining room. The food is very delicious- fresh, zingy with a creative menu. The portions are good sizes and the desserts are HUGE! One is enough for 2 people and the peanut butter cake might serve 4!More infoBeauty & Essex- New YorkPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Lower East Side•4.6
