Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith.She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. My daughter and I dined here for thanksgiving dinner and the food was so good . When it was time to pay , the waitress said someone had taken care of our tab and it was such a beautiful gesture especially because her and I spent the day alone . Incredible Cajun and neo-Cajun and Creole food. Best Louisiana cuisine outside of Louisiana. The honey butter cornbread and oysters are a must. Our waiter, Rocco, was outstanding. Valet parking and secured parking with validation is available. Don’t use Buffalo Speedway to enter the garage. Enter from Richmond (eastbound) instead.
