Open since October of 1990, The Dakota has been a pioneer in the culinary industry on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain.     If you have not been to Sunday brunch here in a while, the chef continues to change up the menu & offer several creative new dishes. Do not miss the Croque Madam!! The in-house made brioche bread, combined with fresh Gruyère cheese makes this a memorable choice. The new Apple Crisp dessert is also a great new menu addition.

    This restaurant is amazing I was in town for a family gathering and my cousin lives in the neighborhood and took us to dinner on Friday night we had cocktails and the best hummus any of us have had. We dined on three (cauliflower, chicken and mushrooms). We enjoyed it so much we came back two nights later. Mark and Stephanie took excellent care of us. They were very nice and accommodating.

    I am so happy that I selected to try the fried oysters, crab cake (about 95% crabmeat), and key lime pie as part of Taste of Tammany. Our wait person, Marie (?), was wonderful!! The service was fantastic!
