Peppercorn’s Grill is owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal and Dino, Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian roots. Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When the opportunity to open a restaurant arose, they jumped at the opportunity and opened the first Piccolo Arancio in Rome. Piccolo Arancio was internationally acclaimed within their first year.     What a nice surprise! Black-Eyed Sally’s has a great menu with a variety of Southern favorites. We ordered fried green tomatoes, followed by chicken & ribs bbq and blackened catfish. Both were excellent, including the suggested sides. Our Mississippi mojitos were good. We also enjoyed the band (note: noise level was a 4 when the band was playing). The decor is eclectic and music themed. Our server Tee was great (is everyone in Hartford this friendly??). We’d definitely recommend Sally’s!

    We had a wonderful pre-theater meal at Trumbull Kitchen. Megan was the hostess when we arrived and was terrifically accommodating on our request for a table in a specific location. The service was excellent, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Everything tasted as beautifully as it looked. It's a wonderful place to go for a drink or dinner before the theater. My only less-than-enthusiastic comment was that the restaurant was very loud made worse by music playing way too loudly in my opinion. It makes it a challenge to have good conversation over dinner.
