We went to celebrate my cousin's birthday and our waitress, Angie (I think that was her name) was awesome. She greeted us well, knew there was a birthday celebration and offered great recommendations. The food was superb - mussels, fried oysters, crab cake, and spinach & artichoke dip was also very good! Always a fun and great time Old Ebbitt and look forward to coming back again - an old staple for us!!!

I think that out of all three Ambars in the DC Metro area, the food is the best here at the Capitol Hill location. It’s very tasty and savory.

This is truly a one of a kind dining experience in DC. Some of the best service I’ve had. Our server was attentive, but didn’t hover and was so kind. We were able to get great recommendations on both drinks and food options. The beet salad, mushrooms, scallops, and shrimp were beyond delicious and I would highly recommend. For cocktail lovers the 3PM in Istanbul was excellent. We will certainly be going back to enjoy the atmosphere and to eat more of the tapas we were just too full to eat this time around.

It’s a small place but quiet and has a nice atmosphere. They have a reasonable selection and decent quality sushi at very reasonable prices

i always have a great experience here. everyone from the hostess to the manager to the servers are incredible energy and really care about you enjoying your time there. will always go back here as long as they have me!
