- IIanNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoA quiet Monday evening in February but the WH was busier than expected according to the excellent staff who, despite clearly working at full throttle, were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was of a high standard and very plentiful. The atmosphere was refined, conversation easy and the nice fire only added to the general enjoyment of good food and wine in a cozy and relaxed establishment that clearly knows how to treat its customers.More infoThe Whittling HousePrice: Moderate• British• Alnmouth•4.6
- DDavidVancouver / British Columbia •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoBest Sunday lunch. Classic roast was perfect, great veggie and lighter options. Staff were great. Dog friendly, nice beers and Heineken 0% on tap for the driver. Couldn’t fault it.More infoThe Plough, AlnwickPrice: Moderate• Pub• Newcastle upon Tyne•2.9

- SSteveNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoOverall brilliant experience, food , service, staff all excellent, let down by the front door being constantly left open to allow a bitter freezing cold wind into the room , no one wants to sit in a bar paying almost £20 for 2 drinks freezing cold , suggested putting a self closing arm on the door , the lady took this onboard, and said she would pass on our suggestion, room was also very cold , you should not be paying £220 for a room to have to put a dressing gown and have to get into bed .More infoThe Joiners ArmsPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Alnwick•4.3
