Christopher Hirsheimer and Melissa Hamilton—the women behind Canal House Station—are cooks, writers, and artists. In 2007 they founded Canal House, which includes a publishing venture and a culinary, photography, and design studio. Their cookbook "Canal House Cooks Every Day" received a James Beard Award in 2012. In 2019, Christopher and Melissa opened Canal House Station, a hidden gem tucked into an elegantly restored 1870s train station on the banks of the Delaware River in Milford, NJ.     Another amazing culinary dining experience. This time Josh was our server, who was patient, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. We started with their Cosmo which Gabby nailed and I had the caramel kiss goodnight, a tad sweet but delish. Appetizers were the potato cakes and crispy shrimp. OMG! Then the French Onion soup was easily the best in the Lehigh valley and that I've ever had. Entrees were a house salad with super tender sirloin tips and the crab stuffed shrimp with an add on salmon filet. A glass of premium red blend and Sauvignon Blanc. Ended with the triple layer red velvet cake. Didn't know it was a cheesecake red velvet. Forgot to mention between apps and entrees we used the new high powered binoculars to see the other 7 planets which were out. Shout out to Chef Rob who absolutely nails it every time. He puts his soul in every dish!
