- DDellaHertfordshire •1 review5.0Dined todayLovely pub with nice decor and lots of seating. Had sandwich lunch, it was very nice with a lovely side salad. Service and attention of the staff was excellent.More infoThe Fox at WillianPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Letchworth•4.4
- JJenniferCambridge/Cambridgeshire •3 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoThe Embankment is situated in a lovely position. When we entered the ambience was very welcoming and warm. Our table was lovely and spacious. The 12oz steak was lovely and cooked just as requested (medium). The other three diners ordered the burger. The bun was very cold and crumbly; the burger itself was good. The other two diners ordered the sweet potato and chickpea curry. (Extremely disappointing!) The chickpeas were tiny and hard as rock, the rest of the dish was “passable” - both diners were not feeling great after they ate this dish. We did mention the issue we had with the curry and the waitress offered teas and coffees on the house and something else to eat. (We asked for hand cut chips) I am not sure we will be returning back to eat in a rush! There is a lot to be improved.More infoThe EmbankmentPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Bedford•4.2
- AAndrewLondon •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI’ve never been to Hitchin so I was relying on Google for recommendations. What an amazing find! Attentive staff with a fantastic menu. It was a freezing cold night and to be greeted by industrial heaters in the ceiling was just perfect. This is a beautiful open space with a mix of covers and bar. I would love for there to be some live music happening and I’m sure there is. The food was well thought out and the drinks menu was a great compliment.More infoHermitage Rd Bar & RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Hitchin•4.5
- JJamesLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAmazing food, proper bbq food and thankfully not covered in sauce. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Great range of drinks including non-alcoholic drinks. It is expensive but as a celebration it was worth it. We had the pitmaster platter between two of us, plenty of food, without any going to waste. We cannot wait to go back, really highly recommended!More infoCraft & Cleaver - HitchinPrice: Expensive• Barbecue• Hitchin•4.5
- MMarkHertfordshire •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a wonderful 3 course meal here. Food was great, the staff were polite and attentive. The restaurant was cosy and well laid out. Prices are quite high, but the quality of food and drink was great. I would have liked our main ( halibut) to have come with chips or boiled potatoes, but you have to order them separately. That is my only slight grumble on a very good evening out. Well worth a visit.More infoLussmanns - HitchinPrice: Moderate• Modern European• Hitchin•4.7
