- HHillaryToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Dec 2024It was difficult to find a same-day reservation at any restaurant in Budapest so w were happy when we found a spot at Kismező. With all our searching we were just glad to finally have some place to eat but what a surprise and a delight to eat here! We were warmly welcomed upon entry and the staff were all friendly and professional. The ambiance is nice and casually cool - stylish with an open kitchen. Food was served relatively quickly and it was all delicious. We had the pumpkin soup, goulash, salad with grilled ricotta and the chicken stew which was like pulled chicken inside a dumpling, along with desserts. We absolutely recommend Kismező and wish we were staying in Budapest longer so we would have a chance to return.More infoKismezö BudapestPrice: Moderate• Bistro• Budapest•4.4
- FFrankOrlando / Central Florida East •1 review4.0Dined on 12 Dec 2024The steak was excellent, we both had Argentinian tenderloin of different sizes and both were beautiful. The side dishes let the meal down a little as they lacked some imagination and were a little bland. The prawn starter in garlic were great but make sure you all have them as the quantity of garlic was really high but lovely. Only one dessert between us a chocolate fonddant which was OK But needed something with it as it was a little dry on its own. The Malbec was superb as you would expect from Argentina.. The downside for us was the location of our table. There are 4 tables for two to the right of the door as you enter. It was really cold when we went and sitting there you got a blast of cold air everytime the door opened. We like the couple beside us asked to move but there were no other options available as the place was full. The only option was to cover your krgs with your coat while seated, not a good advert for the location. Service was good attentive but not pushy. This is not a cheap place to dine but the quality of the steak alone made up for the minor inconveniences.More infoLa Pampa SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Budapest•4.4
