Restaurants near Button Museum

This was our first time in Columbia SC, not knowing the area we took a chance on Saluda’s. So glad we did. They had Valet parking , which was great because we couldn’t find an open space to park. Upon entering the restaurant it was a great atmosphere from beginning to end. Our waitress, Elena, was wonderful. So very polite and cheerful. A young South Carolina college student . She was very helpful with suggestions on the menu. The food was delicious. My friend had raw oysters and I had Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer ( my first time for this). Both were delicious. My friend had scallops for her entree and I had the Filet Mignon . Both were excellent. For dessert we shared a Caramel Apple Square with Vanilla ice cream, again delicious. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. You will not be disappointed. Better than 5 stars all the way around!

Our friends chicken sandwich was horribly salty. He could not eat it. The manager wanted to give a 50% discount since he had eaten part of it. (Crazy). He also cut off a small piece for me to try. Anyway, she would not comp the sandwich so we asked for a hamburger to go and she gave a 25% discount on the burger. We eat here almost once a week and this was embarrassing for us as usually things are handled better Since Richard stopped being manager, California dreaming has gone way down.

I made reservations for my mother's birthday and we had a wonderful time. We requested reservation changes, on the day of, and were happily accommodated. Eric was our server and he was wonderful. We had a party of eight and nothing was forgotten, incorrect, or even needed the entire meal. We recommend the lambchops and the scallops for appetizers. The wedge salad was perfect. All our steaks were cooked perfectly and the seafood bucket is worth the money. The cream spinach side is a must. We all went home with food even after sharing. Wonderful time, will be back, requesting Eric as our waiter.

It was as perfect as perfect can be. We got there prior to our reservation to have a drink at the bar. The drinks were awesome. Then we were seated and Anna our waitress she is the best! The apps food and dessert couldn’t be any better. We stopped in from a way to Florida and only wish we had a restaurant like this in our town. A must!

Mary was our waitress and she took very good care of us for our anniversary. She is very knowledgeable in several stations at Red Lobster. She fixed our drinks from the bar when we arrived. Then she chipped in and waited on our table. She checked on us several times and helped me with the portal when checking out our Bill. She made us feel special and was a fabulous waitress. Food was cooked to our liking and we would definitely go back.
