Tawa is a traditional flat stove used in India on the streets, at home, in restaurants as the core of Indian cooking which is why it forms the basis of Tawa Kitchen's dishes. At Tawa, what we're trying to promote is wellness inside and out. We take the ayurvedic principle of balance in body and mind and apply this to our cooking. Tawa kitchen moves away from the format of stereotypical India restaurants serving heavy dishes concentrating on curry and rice. What we eat at home and what we will offer at Tawa, is largely plant-based nutritious and created to fuel you your day.

A truly inspirational wine destination venue that has a relaxed vibe but with quality at its heart. We believe that just as wine evolves in the bottle, so should our offering, and that is reflected in our ever-changing wine list. We are a place that will evolve and bring new flavours and experiences to the heart of Cambridge. We don’t aim to have the largest wine list, but rather focus on interesting and niche wines, fine and rare bottles, and for those hard to find gems and with our flat rate corkage, the value for money is exceptional.Similarly our small menu hopes to bring quality at a reasonable price, so a night of food and wine matching can be a regular treat. Our seasoned sommeliers are there to guide your journey at each turn so whether it is an intimate evening for two, or a private event for 20+ in our cellar, it should be an experience to remember. Please note that our kitchen closes at 9pm and that we are primarily a Wine Bar.

Quite simply, this is one of the best restaurants in the world. The food is incredible. Every course was absolutely delicious, the ambience of the dining room is unfussy and welcoming. The staff are all friendly and efficient. And Brett Graham, the chef, takes his time to come to every table, explaining the dishes and chatting to his customers all through the night. Incredible. Up there with Core and The Fat Duck as my favourite restaurants in London, and one of the best dining experiences of my life. Stunning. I’m already planning a return.

My favourite place to catch up with friends over a glass of wine. The wine selections are fantastic and their sharing board is full of delicious goodies. The staff are very lovely and attentive. The only thing this time was that it took a long time for the sharing board to be served. We were sipping wine slowly waiting for the food to arrive but finished a glass way before the food arrived.

Tawa never disappoints. We have been several times now and it’s consistently good. The welcome is warm and genuine. Food is utterly delicious and we literally polished our plates. The menu is not enormous, but enough to keep everyone happy… even our fussy friend! Everything we had was spiced, cooked and presented so beautifully. Portions are not huge, just perfect. Service is attentive and informed without being too much. Well done team Tawa. We will definitely be seeing you again soon x
