The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. It offers a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, from the Valentino, our take on the classic Negroni, to the latest cocktails and preparations on the list.     Had a great time here for Christmas Eve dinner with my family of 12 from USA. We had several attentive staff waiting on us, all of which were friendly and answered Q’s. Everyone was happy with their food - the steak is a must have, but the gnocchi was the surprise favorite. Also had the truffle pasta and lasagna - off of which were great!!! Great apps and wine as well. The big bonus was how attentive the chefs were to my sister’s seafood allergy - difficult to find abroad. We sat downstairs and it felt like an old Italian wine cellar - the ambiance was so fun for our group. Can’t recommend this place enough!!
