We pride ourselves in being one of the top steakhouses in the Hudson Valley, we age our meat in house, and get fresh seafood straight from NYC twice a week and have a great selection of craft beer and an extensive wine list. PLEASE NOTE reservations are required on weekends and holidays. We do require a credit card when booking for groups 5 and larger.Our seasonal outdoor dining is now open. We recommend bringing a sweater for the evenings in the Catskills tend to get a little cool and we do not always have the ability to move folks inside on weekends. The Hoffman House restaurant, in the scenic Hudson Valley, opened for business in June of 1977. The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts.     As always, we had a wonderful dining experience. From being greeted so warmly at the door..to being served by a wonderful waiter and assistant and then having an absolutely sumptuous meal we were absolutely delighted! We had the chicken mousse pate and the crab cake special for appetizers and the salmon and 1/2 duck la orange, a delicious cabernet and shared the chocolate mousse dessert...beyond yummy!!There wasn't a morsel of food left!!

    The Phoenician Steakhouse is our go-to spot when we are in the Catskills. The service is consistently friendly and the food reliably delicious. The owner, Mike, can often be seen in the kitchen cooking and overseeing the food preparation. We have our favorite dishes — the beet salad and panko crusted mozzarella, and the steaks, pappardelle bolognese and osso bucco ravioli. And of course the tiramisu. But any new thing we try such as last night’s squash soup and clam chowder, are also winners. In the summer we love sitting on the back patio.
