Restaurants near Center Ring Diving

Wonderful new handroll restaurant tucked away behind Ward Theaters. But they're more than just handrolls- the hamachi carpaccio was excellent and they had a five piece nigiri sampler, which can be either raw or seared (we chose seared and loved it). Service is fantastic and sushi guy was friendly and helpful. They also have a full bar but I didn't check on sakes. There is valet parking ($6) or perhaps park for free at Whole Foods. $100 for two of us, and we were full.

We had an excellent date! Staff were attentive and knowledgeable. We appreciated how they knew we were on the terrace and politely notified us that our entree was about to be served. For the price the food had a good combo of portions and quality. Drinks were delicious!

Merriman's Ward is definitely our first preferred spot for wino wine share get togethers. Food's fantastic and approachable and the corkage is still wino friendly compared with other places that have corkage charges set to discourage bringing special bottles to share with friends. We enjoyed a 3 hour commiseration over a bottle of Radio Silence! Servers were attentive but not intrusive--they let us do our wine share thing; very nice and appropriate wine glasses. All in all a place not to be missed. Thanks and mahalo again Merriman's Ward!!

Service was a little slow, but they said they were short staffed that night. Came here a few times and wait time is always long but the food quality for their sushi and sashimi is always great!
