Restaurants near Chauga Mound

A great meal all around! We are eating here again since we loved it so much.

OMG, we can’t express how great of an evening we had last night. It started with a history lesson of the restaurant, old bank, and continued with outstanding service and amazing food. Highly recommend!!

Everything was fine, service was excellent, steaks were great as well. My only negative was my wife’s filet was ordered medium with pink center but was served rare, very red center. Easily detected simply by pressing the meat. Service provided cook-up to desired temp, but having one person having to wait while other ate takes away from the experience for sure. Especially at a high price steakhouse. Something I would expect at an Outback Steakhouse, but not at a $75.00 steak restaurant.

Rylan led us through a wonderful meal, she was a bright spot, beautiful smile, and knowledgable! She guided us through 3 courses and we were too stuffed to choose a dessert! Maybe next time!

My wife and I had our 49th anniversary supper at Glen Ella Inn and Restaurant on 11/23/24. We both enjoy lamb which my wife had on a prior visit, so I had the 4 pc. rack of lamb and she ordered the beef, both medium rare. Her beef was so tender you could use a table knife. My New Zealand lamb was grilled and excellent also. The restaurant has 2 separate rooms each with fireplaces and approximately 7 tables each with no dividers in each room with the noise level being quiet while conversing normally. Our waitress, Bonnie was attentive, not overly, and we never felt rushed, but our reservation was 7 pm. and it was near 9 when we finished and closing time. For ambiance with an excellent meal, for a quiet evening, Glen Ella is a great choice. Our bill with 1 french onion soup and 1 coffee and the 2 entrees was a little over $100.
