The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. This was the first time for any of the four of us to eat here. I could not fault a single thing. From the time we were greated at the front door to when we left, each and every member of staff that we dealt with were courteous, efficient, friendly and always helpful. The food, starters, main courses and desserts were top class. The restaurant was extremely busy but we were never left waiting for anything. The atmosphere was also excellent. I honestly could not fault The Old Stone House in anyway. I was well worth the 40min drive. Can't wait to go back.

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
