- EElizabethSan Francisco Bay Area •36 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a pre-theater dinner. Seated promptly at reservation time. Orange and beet salad was a perfect combo I wouldn't have thought of. Both mains were very good. The mushrooms on the risotto stood out. Tables are close, but this is a city after all.More infoZuni CafePrice: Expensive• Modern European• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.6

I do have to add that after several years of dining there that they can update or tweak their menu a little bit.More infoHayes Street GrillPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.7
- AAndrewVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •103 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoOne of the most consistent French restaurants in SF. The onion soup is outstanding and is that way every time you come here. In fact practically everything is consistent with each visit. OK, since there are rarely specials you might get bored after a few visits. That's the only downside. Otherwise, this is a great place all around. I prefer the side dining room as it's quieter and more restaurant line as bar side room that is far more energetic and, many times, more annoying. Any dish here is good but my favorite is Petrale Sole. Be aware that portion sizes are very generous. Ask your server if you can order a half-sized portion as many times they are available (you have to ask). Generally, you'll have a good time here.More infoAbsinthe Brasserie and Bar - SFPrice: Expensive• French• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8
- TTerryVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •33 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe booked the reservation due to its close proximity to the Davies. The food was fantastic. Each of the 8 courses hit our palates wonderfully different from the previous course. Each tasty morsel provided a multitude of tastes that blended together splendidly.More infoNightbirdPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.7
