Sonya Cote, the James Beard Foundation WEL alum and Texas chef known for Eden East, now adds Store House Market & Eatery in downtown Bastrop to her portfolio.  A proponent for local purveyors and a pioneer of using locally-grown ingredients for both nutritional and environmental purposes, Cote transformed a nearly 175-year-old, historic two-building property at the corner of Main and Pine into a seasonally-driven restaurant and market that will showcase the local area’s bounty.     The hosts where lovely and offered us the kitchen seating over the bar - such a cool experience! I Our server was attentive and the drinks came out quickly for all being craft cocktails! This was my partners first time here and after being sat for maybe ~ 10 minutes ~ we booked another reservation for next month! We got bone marrow, caesar salad, rigattoni, yukon potato's and the porterhouse! Our server did talk us out of the tomahawk which was smart, considering we have Turkey leftovers to eat but we WILL be trying it next month! Thank yall 🤍 Also a free desert and a card signed by all the staff for my partners birthday was such a cute touch! We'll see yall soon!
