- DDougNebraska •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe celebrated our 50th and 51st wedding anniversaries at J Gilbert’s. We were so impressed last year with the staff and food, that we decided to celebrate another anniversary there. We were treated again with a card and free dessert or glass of champagne for our anniversary! Tonight we had the chef’s prix fixe meal. Their prices are very reasonable. My wife had a wedge salad, (loaded with lots of goodies) a filet, (cooked to perfection), asparagus spears, and poblano scalloped potatoes, YUM! I had the Maryland crab bisque, a rich and delicious soup, a 14 oz Duroc pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans. I ate it all. We finished the night with the apple croustade, recommended by our server Silvia, she was great, and so was the croustade! We took home our free carrot cake to have tomorrow. It’s large enough to feed 4 people. Thank you, J Gilbert for another wonderful evening!More infoJ. Gilbert’s - Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood - OmahaPrice: Expensive• Steak• Downtown / Old Market•4.7
- GGracelynNebraska •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoIt was our first time there and I was blown away by how delicious the food was. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito at recommendation of our server and the burrito did not disappoint. The focaccia toast was delicious. I got the traditional breakfast with over medium eggs, their sausage made in house (delicious), and brioche toast and it was super tasty. The ambience even at brunch was great. The service was great, never had to worry about getting refills. The staff was friendly. Overall 10/10 experience and we cannot wait to come back for their dinner!More infoMemoirPrice: Expensive• American• Omaha•4.8

- MMelisahMinneapolis - St. Paul •6 reviews5.0Dined on 7 Dec 2024We never need an excuse to visit Gather. However, our latest visit was intentional to try their limited-time specials advertised on social media (Facebook and Instagram). A dining experience at Gather is incomplete without starting with the Brussels sprouts appetizer. It is hands-down our favorite! Our meal was accompanied by their limited-time specialty drink, Penicillin Cocktail. I am not a scotch drinker but let me tell you, this beverage was smooth and delicious! We ordered the limited-time special Miso Shrimp Tagliatelle and the short ribs for entrees. I almost always order the short ribs when dining at Gather but the Miso Shrimp was AMAZING! I highly suggest adding it to the regular menu! For dessert, we had the limited-time special Chocolate Tart. It perfectly blended bitter dark chocolate crust with sweet blueberry compote and vanilla-almond custard. Hillary was our server (we always request her when we visit). She is knowledgeable, attentive, and has a great personality! Per usual... we will be back!More infoGather - OmahaPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Old Market•4.8
