From building society, to bank, to BEAR – this ornate old banking hall site on Derby’s Iron Gate stood empty and forgotten for 9 long years… until we came along.BEAR Iron Gate, Derby sits slap-bang in the centre of the city’s iconic and beautiful Cathedral Quarter; the original hotspot for high-quality food and drink. From walking in to leaving the whole afternoon was beautiful. We’ve been meaning to come here for a few years after hearing many good things and we weren’t disappointed, the staff were so friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food was stunning. I think we’ll be coming here for our special occasions more often!
