- CChrishaundaCharlotte •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe only bad thing is the wait. You can make a reservation, and still wait. However, the service, the food, and the ambiance really make it worth it. It’s a beautiful environment. The food was delicious (ordered the salmon and grits, fried chicken, and Mac and cheese). It was costly, but good!More infoKitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley - CharlottePrice: Expensive• Southern• Uptown•4.2
- AAmyVIPAsheville / Western North Carolina •20 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went for restaurant week and they knocked it out of the park. Each course was delicious, the service was great and the ambiance is amazing in there. Whoever was the interior designer killed it. We will definitely be back!More infoChurch and Union - CharlottePrice: Expensive• American• Uptown•4.6
- AAmyVIPAsheville / Western North Carolina •20 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went for restaurant week and the food was exceptional! For our first course, we had the chicken and mushroom pastry dish that is not on the normal menu and it was like a deconstructed pot pie but richer. I’d definitely try and get it while you can. We also had the deviled eggs with caviar and they were delicious. For the main course we had the salmon and the beef bourguignon. The salmon melted in your mouth like butter but we both agreed the beef was even better. Again, it was very rich and tender. For the last course we got the chocolate gatueau and the ricane which was like a snickers bar, but very light since it’s made with mousse. Both were excellent. Can’t wait to come back and try the French Onion Soup. We kept seeing it come out from the kitchen and it looked so tasty. I also want to mention the service - it was incredible. Everything was paced perfectly and our server was so sweet and kept checking on us and the food. We will definitely be back!More infoLa Belle HelenePrice: Expensive• French• Uptown•4.6

- GGlennAsheville / Western North Carolina •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoI've been to several O-Ku's and they are all great. The one in Charlotte is now my favorite. The food is so crazy good that they are often packed to the rafters and the noise level escalates accordingly. Last night was busy, with the restaurant being about 70% full and it still felt cozy and was quiet enough for my client and I to have a meaningful conversation without straining to hear each other over the din. Our server was excellent, just the right combination of attentive and unobtrusive. The food was, as always, fantastic: fresh, beautifully presented and fun to eat.More infoO-Ku - CharlottePrice: Moderate• Japanese• Southend•4.7
