Restaurants near Ely Forest Service Station

We really enjoyed our experience dining at the Ahwahnee Hotel Dining Room. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was also very lovely with the piano playing beautifully in the background. I think my ONLY negative comment is that the food and coffee were not nice and hot, which is important to probably only me, but overall I think the experience was worth every penny.

Food was great perfect place in the village. We were recommended to order multiple items because the portions are smaller & meant to be shared. We got 4 items 2 apps & 2 entrees. We finished pretty much everything only got 1 box of leftovers.

Everything was great, from the food to the service

Great service. Fun cocktail @$13. Decorated for Christmas. Winter, so dark early and low water=no view. Busy on Saturday—we had a reservation. Sunset menu 4-6. We didn’t find anything we wanted on it so ordered off regular menu. Menu trimmed this time of year. Love it here. Pricey.

Our meal was extremely good - as was the service. My only concern was with the bill. The customer receipt only had the total bill and "recommended tipping" percentages. I added a decent tip and signed the receipt. We were talking about the bill - and I said it seemed higher than i expected - so we looked at the other copy of the bill - the one with the breakdown. It had a very small line that said 20% banquet fee had been added to the total. This meant that the wait staff got a nearly 40% tip from me. ..which was not what I intended to do.
