- IIgorOttawa •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEl Xolo, located within the Museum of Anthropology in San Salvador, offers a unique dining experience that blends exceptional Latin American flavors with a setting steeped in tradition. The restaurant’s location adds an extra layer of allure, surrounded by the rich cultural backdrop of the museum. The ambiance is thoughtfully curated, with decor that reflects the region’s heritage, making it the perfect spot for those seeking not only a meal but an immersive cultural experience. The menu at El Xolo features a variety of small plates, each showcasing the diversity and depth of Latin American cuisine. Though the portions are modest, the quality of the ingredients and the complexity of the flavors are undeniable. Every dish bursts with freshness, from perfectly grilled meats to vibrant ceviches and creative twists on classic Latin American comfort foods. The cocktails are another highlight, well-crafted and reasonably priced for the caliber of the drinks. They provide a great complement to the food, with many options highlighting local spirits and flavors. However, one downside is the steep price for water—at $7 for a 750ml bottle, it feels a bit excessive, especially given the otherwise reasonable pricing of food and drinks. It's a minor inconvenience in an otherwise stellar dining experience. Overall, El Xolo is a must-visit for food lovers, offering a memorable fusion of history, culture, and exquisite cuisine in one beautiful, traditional setting.More infoEl XoloPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Latin• Antiguo Cuscatlán•4.8
- TThierryVIPPalm Springs / Palm Desert Cities •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe best elegant restaurant in San Benito/El Salvador. The team is outstanding and very friendly. Food is out of this world. Of course, every time we come to El Salvador, Monarca is our home away from home. The waiter Ronald is very professional and we always are happy to see him.More infoMonarcaPrice: Very Expensive• International• San Salvador•4.5
- KKeiraEl Salvador •1 review5.0Dined on 15 Dec 2024Today was my first time dining at this restaurant, the service from the hostess to our waiters were fantastic, even with the language barrier we got excellent and very attentive service. Everything from our drinks , appetizers, and food came out in a timely manner. Speaking of the food we decided to share an order of baby back ribs and they were sensational I rarely eat pork so it was my first time having ribs in over a year and they were well worth the breaking of the fast. Will definitely be retiring for brunch hopefully here in the near future.More infoMaria Bonita Brunch & DrunchPrice: Expensive• International• San Salvador•4.4
