Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list.     I probably go to Black Whale about 2-3x a month! We love it here! Its our go to spot ! We love the whole vibe there! The waiters are so friendly, place is super clean, and the seating/view on deck is my fav! We start with the Boom Boom shrimp, they are out of this world and then to be honest I am obsessed with their Caesar salad the focaccia croutons I dream about lol and the salad dressing is amazing and fresh! I prob get the salad each time I go and sometimes I’ll add steak or chicken to it but all the dishes and drinks they serve are delish! Def check them out- wont be disappointed!

    Our lunch was delicous. Service was very good. Our server Jillian was very good. Only one thing disappointing and that was the crème brûlée, it seemed very liquified and not custard like. Overall everything was very good.
