Great food, great staff, excellent service, we had a reservation, arrived early and were immediately seated got a special treat due to our anniversary celebration, never expected but always welcomed… overall it was a great experience!

The service was a little bit disorganized. Although our server Liz was helpful she didn’t anticipate us needing forks and I was trying to keep quiet on a birthday dessert, but she kept asking questions about it even though I told people at the front that I wanted it quiet. Usually, the food is very good, this time the lettuce was a little brown. I gave a four because I know the weight staff can get really really busy during the lunch hour so I know that Cooper’s Hawk is usually very good in all aspects of a dining experience.

What a gem! The restaurant is well designed in terms of designated yet open areas for waiting, sitting at the gorgeous bar, and for diners. The staff is remarkable: cannot praise their training and delivery of attentive but unobtrusive service. As expected, the food was wonderfully, deliciously prepared. We ordered beef tenderloin, which was expertly and perfectly cook: medium-rare beef encased in puff pastry with the rich and yummy mushroom duxelle. They also raise the bar on a wedge salad and a wonderfully silky potato leek soup. Yes, we split the dessert of sticky toffee pudding, which was buttery rich and just a shade dry in the center of the cake.

John did an outstanding job explaining the menu, being attentive and actively engaging with us. Probably the best waiter we’ve ever experienced. Food was amazing. I had the 16 ounce ribeye and my wife tried the 8 ounce bison filet (upon John’s recommendation). Did not disappoint. My only regret was not getting the bison for myself. The ribeye was great, but the bison was even better. Drinks were fabulous. Always love a smokey Old Fashioned. It’s pricey, but well worth what you pay for. This place always stands out. In my opinion, better than any chophouse I’ve been to in Chicago…and it’s right in Joliet!

Our server Tiffany was phenomenal, super kind and did an amazing job explaining some of the menu items and caring for our table. Our food was delicious and would always recommend. Another wonderful experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
