Restaurants near Gospel Hill Historic District

First time back since Duner’s changed hands. We were greeted warmly, seated on the porch, which was warm and comfortable. Noise level not as bad as it usually is in the main dining room. Service was perfect, attentive, friendly. Thrilled to see the duck egg rolls and fried oysters still on the menu; they do not disappoint! Crab cakes were stellar, as always. (Duners and Hamiltons are the only places I will order crab cakes in Cville; grew up picking crab so I have high standards and expect crab cakes without filler.) My husband had the lamb and declared it delicious and perfectly prepared. Almond streusel with cherries a al mode was phenomenal, as was my husband’s raspberry chocolate cake. So happy to know the best parts of the old Duners live on.

This was an amazing experience with my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day! Couldn’t of been better

The wine pairing dinner at the Farmhouse was a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. I highly recommend combining it with an overnight stay, which comes with a fabulous breakfast.

The Ivy Inn offers very high quality food selections in a relaxed, lovely older house, or patio, setting. Nearly every ingredient is made in house, including wonderful breads and desserts. In an increasingly mediocre, expensive dining landscape The Ivy Inn is truly worth every penny! It is by far our favorite restaurant to dine at in the Charlottesville area.

Fried shrimp was doughy inside, but our servers Kennedy G. was excellent. She was very polite, promp and overall one of the best we've had in a long time! Thank you Kennedy G.
