Essence is a casual restaurant that serves French cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Chef Shiro Naito opened the restaurant in 2010 to provide dishes that celebrate the essence of each season. Essence is conveniently located next to Inokashira Park and Ghibli Museum. Its spacious dining area provides tables for guests and a private room for special occasions. The menu at Essence offers themed seasonal courses.     My girlfriend and I had a word-class experience at Fukuzushi last night. Let me tell you guys all about it: Food: Not much needs to be said. Mr. and Mrs. Fukuzushi plan ahead of time to make sure our traditional omakaze suit our tastes. The quality of our food was exceptional. Sensei drives a hefty distance in the morning to make sure our food is the catch of the day. Every bite will leave you saying “OISHI,” so make sure to pick up the phone or respond to the email. Oh, and make sure to have an empty stomach! Service: There’s a story behind every bite. Mr. And Mrs. make sure to tell us about the history and culture, along with the processes behind each serving. There’s 4 generations of knowledge behind the two of them and the effort spent to allow us to enjoy our evening was second to none. Truly an eye-opening experience and one I will not forget. Highly recommend coming to have dinner here; it will most certainly be the omakaze experience you’ve ever had.
