- JJenniferDetroit / Eastern Michigan •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWhat a true and absolute delight! My daughters and I loved La Grande Boucherie! It was one of the highlights of our recent Chicago visit. The food was wonderful, as were the wine selections (and mocktails!) and the beautiful holiday decor. We had oysters, the fromage board, a beautiful salmon, French Onion soup, salads and more. I had a lovely Sancerre, and we topped everything off with profiteroles. But the best part of the experience was the impeccable service. From the moment we left our coats at the front hosted stand to the last moments after dessert and a quick personal tour of the gorgeous second level, we were enchanted. A special thank you to Rachid from Paris for his terrific recommendations, allowing us to practice French and being a bright spot of our entire trip. Attentive, funny, kind! A server can make or break a restaurant experience, and in this case, the service shined bright! We would love to come back when we’re in the city again! Highly enjoyed!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• French• River North (Chicago)•4.6
- PPaulChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst visit since the place was converted from Ben Pao.. Beautiful feel (reminiscent of our beloved LEYE "Avanzare" restaurant). The music level was, in our opinion, too loud to maintain a pleasant conversation. It id not seem to affect other diners. Your Italian wines list is superb. We tried a bottle from Sicily (on our own but with approval from your in house sommelier).More infoRPM Italian - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- RRituChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoPizza Portofino is one of my favorite spots in the city. The garlic bread and truffle pizza (request hot honey, trust me) are GAME CHANGER. I went with a few friends and we all agreed that they both redefined garlic bread and pizza (at least in Illinois) respectively. Great service and great vibes!More infoPizzeria PortofinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- MMarcChicago / Illinois •16 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoThe bass was excellent, and the Kofta was tasty. However, the humus was a disappointment—not better than what one can buy in a grocery store. The cauliflower/broccoli dish was a good surprise. Overall, the food was good, but not surprising. The place was full (on a Friday night) -- crowded and noisy. Service was slow.More infoEma - River NorthPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• River North (Chicago)•4.7
