When we were dreaming dreams and drawing drawings of our brand new clubhouse, we wanted to create something that goes far beyond your typical golf course restaurant.The Grille was always intended, and indeed is, a place where family, friends, residents, neighbors and the entire Richmond community can come together and enjoy each other’s company. Amazing food is an essential part of the experience, but we keep it reasonably priced so that everyone can enjoy.Our seating setup is designed to create spaces for every occasion – from the private and intimate Reserve room for special dinners, as well as the high tops, traditional tables and 10 TVs scattered throughout.     Amazing meal to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful and feels like a very nice but comfortable environment. Amazing transformation of the building! And a great addition to the Midlothian area! Stella was extremely personable and helpful with her suggestions. The steaks were excellent, as were the Buratta appetizer and all sides. Excellent meal - but a pricey one (as any classy steakhouse would be) Also enjoyed the special Cab Franc bottled for the restaurant - excellent pairing! We look forward to returning to celebrate another special occasion!

    My husband and I chose to take a road trip to Lynchburg to end our holiday break and he asked me to find a nice restaurant in town for our Saturday dining. I was definitely looking for a steakhouse and Shoemakers fit the bill. The restaurant is beautiful with an inviting atmosphere. Great cocktail list and some excellent wines to choose from as well. Waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. I chose the ribeye on her recommendation which I could taste the char and fantastic grilled flavor it was just more medium than medium rare. Dessert was a derby pie that reminded me of my mother’s. We really had a lovely evening and would come back again.

    I have dined and all of the Boathouse Restaurants in the RVA! They all come with their own uniqueness. The staff; ambiance and customer service is impeccable. Our server (Hayden) was knowledgeable of the menu, drink selections and just overall amazing, He truly attended to our every need!!
