It was our first time dining at Ocean 48, and we were celebrating my 78th birthday! It was a wonderful dining experience from the time we arrived until we left. We given a private booth, and Johnny provided excellent service. For our entrees we had Chilean Sea Bass and the Sea Scallops, which were prepared perfectly. Sides were excellent as well the wine. I was given the dessert of my choice which was a wonderful gesture. Thank you for a very special evening!

Great menu and lovely preparation. A bit noisy even though its outdoors. Well worth a visit. Kinda pricey.

The experience was fabulous, atmosphere welcoming and our server Alicia was wonderful, food was prepared well and the Banana desert is the best.

Javier’s has been my favorite Mexican food since his restaurant was located in Laguna Beach. I live in Texas with great Mexican food, but none other compares to the freshness and perfection of Javier’s! It’s the first restaurant I stop at and usually the last I go to when traveling to Southern California. I never thought I would give it 4 stars instead of 5. Still delicious, but the ambience of the remodel was loud and stark compared to the warm cozy atmosphere that was once one of the most uniquely beautiful places to dine. I understand they needed a bigger space, but I felt the lighting was more like being in an operating room. The music at lunchtime was extremely loud and clanging! I turn whoever I’m traveling with on to Javier’s, and this is the first time I was disappointed. I’m sure it may feel different at night. Waitstaff and food are still fantastic!
